Hi, I’m Carolyn Menger.(she/they)

I graduated with my masters degree in social work from the University of St. Thomas in 2021, and have been working in the mental health field since 2012.

I have been intuitive, empathetic, and deeply curious about people for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I found myself noticing emotions, asking thoughtful questions, and wanting to understand what others were going through. Becoming a therapist felt less like a decision and more like a natural extension of who I’ve always been. For me, providing therapy is a way to offer presence, understanding, and care in moments that matter most.

I also work to decolonize my therapy practice by naming power dynamics in therapy, honoring clients as the experts of their own lives, and being attentive to how systemic oppression, colonization, and intergenerational trauma impact mental health. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and friends, attending local theatre events, and snuggling on the couch with my pitbull mix, Meadow.
